Wasting police time is a criminal offence. Can the police chatge themselves with this crime?

I dont think the CPS had much choice but to drop this. Had they had kept on with it, the fact would finally have been proven that the government will do anything and stop at no bounds for an easy £60.

Well done that man for sticking it through!

Thank for that, it should never have gone to court in the first. The man was trying to save a life.

And the police wonder why Joe Public wants nothing to do with them anyone.

In some ways it would have been better if he had been taken to court and found not guilty. The CPS are left free to try this again.

Only if the police give them the evidence!

The police have discretion. THere was a time when it would have been used. Now the only question plod ask is "Can I get 60 quid and irritate the public as well?". If the answer is yes then it's Miller time!
