Aircon or not - how do you tell?
Discussion
Ive had my Tuscan for a month now, and reading the handbook, it says that if i press the AC Control a large blue led will illuminate, and it does!!, nothing happens but it does light up.
Now as far as heater/aircon controls go fanny adams happens, all the led's work (including the blue a/c one). So do I have a non functioning a\c or just a pretty blue LED? (Its quite festive really almost tempted to put some tinsel in

Did it not say on the ad when you bought it..? I am surprised you can't tell if it has aircon or not..Now as far as heater/aircon controls go fanny adams happens, all the led's work (including the blue a/c one). Slight drop in rev's, clunk every so often from the engine bay, colder air......you do have the fans running, right?
Otherwise, take the bonnet off, you will see the pump fitted somewhere around the front off-side of the head. You will also see a matrix housing on the near-side, next to the heater matrix housing. You will also see piping that doesn't belong to the coolant or fuel system........should be easy enough to spot if you have it fitted or not.

Thanks, As Ive said, no clunks or anything, and no. no fans running, except engine fans. Will have a look when I get the chance.

Ok, good luck with it. I wasn't being hostile, I only "stated the obvious" with regards to whether the fan was on as it could have been one of those "doh" moments.......believe me, I've had plenty of them

No worries. I think Fuse #28 (10A, half way down the long side of the fuse board) has something to do with the heater - maybe is protects the blower, I'm not sure.

Oh, by the way - I do seem to recall that the blue LED will light up regardless of whether you actually have a compressor fitted or not...
ha, Al beat me to it...
