For Xmas dinner we are off to family and my contribution is to the the cheeseboard - I reckon about 5 different cheeses, a Brie, cheddar, Stilton and what else???

Off to the local farmers market tomorrow - what do the PH experts reckon make up a perfect cheese board - (someone else is doing the biccies and crackers so just the cheeses please)

Something gooey, a mature cheddar, a blue cheese, a creamy cheese and a rubbery cheese like smoked bavarian. Everyone catered for then.

How smelly do you like your cheese?

Reblochon smells, more than anything, of st, while Epoisses can damage the enamel in your sink! wink

Some great ideas there! My father in law is a massive Wallace and Gromit fan so Stinking Bishop just might have to make an appearance. How widely available is it and what's it really like?

Ilchester's Sommersby if you can find it, lovely fresh garden herbs.

Green Thunder?

Sage Derby?

Combining creamy and blue with Cambozola?
