Are you expecting a Christmas bonus this year?

Wondered as no one that works here gets one, or I wasn't told...

Not really an Xmas Bonus, but a small additional sum before I go up to the next pay grade in April.

Work for government = no bonus. I don't mind though, I'm happy to have a job.

£100 net to everyone in the company, plus a free day off on the 24th and 2nd.

Pretty good - and actually a 'bonus' rather than a lump sum which is assumed and working into pay calculations. smile

No.

I was working for firm A, they are a subsidary of firm B.

I was made redundant from firm A, and, after a month of paid leave, i was employed by firm B.

I worked my socks off for firm A and was promised a bonus. I don't expect dick all from my new employers firm B, but then i am just thankful to be in employment at the moment. I know a LOT of people who will be f*cked come the new year.

We used to have a staff do but half the staff never turned up for various reasons, & always moaned that the rest of the staff got a party & they got nothing - tough st i thought!...But they decided to give everyone else vouchers for next / m&s instead for the last couple of years.
This year we've all had hampers - with a bottle of champagne in, couple bottles of wine, beers, boxe's of chocolates, buscuits etc.

I don't think you get one on the dole hehe

Although I'd consider them actually sorting out my housing benefit to be a nice bonus, so that I can pay my rent in a week's time rolleyes

We gave all of our staff a bonus + a small hamper.
Last year was good for us thanks to them, next year will be tough so we rewarded them while we can.

shoutGet him lads. hehe

Seriously though, free christmas party consisting of a decent meal and a drink. 2 extra days holiday as usual and not strictly a bonus but blagged a 160GB PS3 via a contact biggrin

had to pay £10 for the works party, but was unable to go so lost out, no bonus but a letter thanking me for the last year and a small pay increase looking forward to 2009 etc, so guess having a job next year is a bonus as know quite a few without
