Another off season distraction from the thinkbox of the Cake Maker/Eater.
I've come up with a few categories, please make your nominations on this thread for each of them and I'll sort out voting for the winners in each.
To make things interesting, there's going to be no differentiation between sports, so all the nominations for awards can come from any motor sport, two wheels or four.
You can nominate a maximum of three for each category, please cut and paste this list, remove my nominations and add yours for each category. I'll collate the nominations from everyone and work out who the final three are for each.

Romain Dumas, bit of an off-the-wall choice but i have really enjoyed his exploits in the Porsche LMP2 car this year as he hustles the Audis...

the World Sportscar Masters race at the Silverstone Classic, the first lap was a rolling start, cue the sound of a few Lola T70s, a few GT40s, a Ferrair 512, some Lola T210/2s, a McLaren M1, a Porsche 908.... once the field was spread out it was just pure noise for 90 minutes...
Rookie of the year.
Andrea Dovizioso, threw the customer Honda round the motogp championship like a man possessed, embarrssing the likes of Hayden and Toseland along the way....

Well an honourable mention for my friend & colleague Martin Sheppard. In practice at Anglesey this year, he rolled his historic single seater. Landing right way up, he carried on to complete the session. Sadly, no photos, only some very surprised witnesses.

theres still a bald patch of ground from that one on the inside of cascades - the accident was the first meeting of the year in March.
