Ambulance Speeding Case Dropped

Now a plea to clarify law for emergency workers

The case against the ambulance driver speeding down the A1 at 104mph whilst delivering a live for transplant has been dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service.

Public outcry regaring the case culminated in a petition being handed in to Downing Street asking for clarification on the law relating to emergency workers speeding in the course of their duty.

Mick Ferguson is a senior driver with the West Yorkshire Metropolitan Ambulance Service and has not surprisingly relieved at the news. The case has been hanging over him for many months despite his 36 year unblemished record his job was in jeopardy depending on the outcome of the case.
