House completely covered in christmas lights
Discussion
Just dug this out, it's a house near me I saw 3 years ago and took a quick shot on my phone at the time, it is completely covered in lights on the front of the house and front garden. They do it every year, I'll try and get this years effort if I remember as I saw it the other night and they even more on it.

OK so its a bit crass, even chavish, but is it really causing anyone distress?
I think let 'em get on with it, especially if there are littlies in the household.
Granted some can be a bit much, even an eyesore but at the end of the day it is Chrimbo and supposedly the season of goodwill to all.
As long as they take them down on or before twelfth night what harm is there in it?

Haha I'd put money on it that some of these people use energy saving light bulbs inside the house!
I use energy-saving bulbs not because I'm a tree hugger, but because they last a lot longer than incandescent bulbs and I hate having to change them all the time. They also run cooler, so I'm less paranoid of my lamp shades spontaneously combusting.
I suspect I'm not alone.
