Right guys, sorry if this has been chatted about before, but Gavin+Stacey is on and i have a puppy next to me so i really can't be bothered to search wink

I've just bought a V70 but it needs new fronts. Any one got pro's/cons to the Pirelli's or Dunlops or others?

Cheers!

I've got the pirelli's on mine and think they've been pretty good. I've done nearly 20,000 miles on mine (from new) and they've still got at least 3 or 4mm on each front, and I wouldnt say I take things that easy

Kuhmo Ecsta SPT is what I have on mine - not the cheapest but cheaper than Pirellis or Conti's and perform just as well - I typically get 15k out them on a T5 - obviously that'll be less if you give the big un'

Am going to need similar for my V70 - was thinking of trying the Falken 452s as used them before and had good results.

The fact I need new pads and discs soon is more worrying!

I forgot to add the size needed-15 inches.

Do any of you have anything to say about comfort or road noise at all?

Cheers for all the replies, i really appreciate it smile

Most of the tyres for 17" come in 16" and mostly 15" too.

touche!

I was trying to make the point that, as the wheels were of a different size, then they would/might have different characteristics?!

From what i can see , The Pirelli's are certainly a good tyre, however the downside is that as they are a softer tyre than most you will find that life expectancy isnt the best, Depending on your full tyre size i do know that with certain Volvo's they are recomended to have Pirelli's and in the non Reinforced option.

Any queries or enquiries feel free to drop me a mail

Cheers

Thanks for all the replies!

In the end i went for Firestone Firehawks. On first impressions they seem really quiet and comfortable.

Stephen, i will certainly use you in the future.

Once again-cheers!
