Re the Telegraph article, they don't implement screening of staff because they're scared of what they might find. They'd have to send half the staff home for a fortnight and the NHS would collapse

It was pretty obvious that Branson must have something to sell. We hear nothing of him for months and months - then his daughter's on the front page and all this morning on Radio 5 was Branson this and Branson that about the hospitals.

If the tax payer has trained a doctor, shouldn't they be obliged to work for the NHS for a while? I have a relative who's recently qualified and now wants to work abroad.

Perhaps I'm being a grumpy old bugger, but I think there should be an element of payback.
