1. The music is ste, I don't like S Club7.
2. I dance like an epileptic octopus
3. I'm quite happy sitting here with a drink thank you.

Now fk off and leave me alone, I don't want to be physically dragged off my chair by 2 women who seem to think I'll 'enjoy' myself better if I indulge in some 'dad dancing'.

Does anyone else find this practice socially unacceptable?

Couldn't agree more. I prefer to retire to the bar. A few years ago, I would retire to the bar with a nice cigar, but now even that is banned frown

Never!

I get pissed and dance badly with my dad. I've inherited his poor coordination and lack of rhythm.

I suggest you only have two courses of action i) Sue for sexual harrassment, or ii) Lighten up. It's a party.

I myself sue. Everytime. The problem then goes away.

HTH.

totally agree...Mrs Pee makes me dance at functions. I hate it.

I end up looking like Stephen Hawkin in a tumble drier.

If you've been hired as the entertainment, you should jolly well dance. It's your job.

Take a dictaphone and/or secret camera and make sure you get them manhandling you. Then you're in for ££££

Alternatively you could grow a pair and unleash the epileptic octopus that's so longing to get out.

At our company christmas party one of the directors tried to drag a pretty sales girly onto the floor (begining of the night so only a few up dancing) and her boyfriend had a stern word with him, the whole room of 500 people sat wishing the odious little director was smacked. But alas he ended up dancing with a cleaner!

you made the mistake of not telling them you didn't want to go in the first place so assumed that if you turned up you might want to be there.

Mate, for some reason I used to be a bit of a mover, but generally now by the time I have the courage to get on the dance floor I'm too pissed to be able to hear, let alone move.

Have you thought of doing after dinner speaking? You would make millions.

Never mind. The dance floor is generally safer and more aesthetically pleasing without my presence.

Imagine hitting Magnus Pike with a taser gun and you have some idea.

I am always deeply suspicious of men who dance 'too well'.

Yes. I fking hate dancing. I hate everything about it. I hate watching it. I hate doing it. Frankly I hate that it even exists. When I am Intergalactic Dictator the very mention of the word "dance" will carry an automatic death sentence. Back of the head, in the car park, example to the rest. The show Strictly fk Off And Die is my idea of hell...and I would have anyone who ever had anything to do with it in any way whatsoever executed on my first day in power.

And the feckers who think it's funny to pressurise people into imitating an angry baboon on the dance floor are even worse. Those people will be ritually disembowelled and their steaming organs hurled to the four corners of the office whilst they are still alive.

That takes care of the first few minutes of my Integalactic Dictatorship I think. After that I'll have a cup of coffee.

Then I'll think about the people who thought Choral works were a good idea...
