Relationships and emotions
Discussion
God, I really should have probably just bumped a thread of mine from yesterday.
It's 3 times in just over a year now I've had this s
tty depressive feeling. Last year I split with a long term relationship (5 years) after a mutual agreement, and after I found out there was no way back (she started seeing another guy and fell pregnant) I got so ill over it. Like not eating for almost 2 weeks, being reclusive etc. Then the same happened just after that, met someone else, I did a few bad things and then she finishes it, cue feel crap and not eating again. And now, just 2 1/2 months into a relationship I've broken it off and now I'm feeling s
tty again. I have had some sort of flu or whatever but I know for a fact my loss of appetite at the moment and the reason I'm at home and not at work is because I'm missing her so badly.
I have her SLR camera in her boot I need to give back to her and she left some cheese crisp things on the side in my room I've just had to chuck in the bin because they keep reminding me of her. Not only this but she has bought me gifts for Xmas. She has the ones I gave her but she has bought me some stuff too which she needs to give me. On top of all these she has ME (you know the tiredness/yuppy flu illness) and can't work so has little money etc.
I seriously haven't felt this bad all year. My year was going so good and like last year, my year end is terrible.
So yeah, I expect some piss taking but I just don't know what to do with myself at the moment, I really feel for her but I don't know whether it's because I want to be with her still or just that I feel sorry for her. I have like zero emotion during my relationships and then when the finish all my bottled emotion just wants to come out.
Please say I'm not the only one!
'Tis the season to be... sad.

If you miss her so much why not get back in contact with her. You know it makes sense...
Yeah I am in contact with her. But ya know, long term I don't think it will work. What with her illness, not working, living 80+ miles apart. Now is going to be easier than in 6 months time, but I didn't realise I'd feel this s
t about it. I do really miss her a lot.She has been through this s
t before which makes it worse as I remember her telling me her ex broke it off with her on valentine's day, just before her 30th birthday. How s
t is that? Now I've done the same literally days before Xmas. I feel a million dollars I really do.I feel for you fella! I'm in kind of the same boat; I've had 5 relationships in the space of 10 months. I usually only feel ill for a few days then I'm back on my feet! Thats also a classic case of, you don't know what you've got till its gone. I guess you're somewhat responsible for one of the breakups, buit don't beat yourself up about it, nobodies perfect. Take it easy fella.

Thanks for that. Why does it affect you so much physically. Horrible ain't it? I guess it's what bottled up emotion does if you don't let it out properly.

I would honestly say that you have to stop worrying about how she's taking this - she's a grown up and we've all been through this kind of crap a million times before.
What you should be worrying about is yourself. I really think that you should seek some advice/counselling/therapy/electric shock treatment to work out what's really bothering you deep down. There is clearly something that prevents you from dealing with relationships properly and then sends you into a depression every time you end one.
You need to help yourself and learn to like yourself a little bit more before you can be with anyone else otherwise you're just going to keep on hurting people.
I would suggest that to be your new years resolution!!
