Warning beeps when ignition is switched off

Hello, I have an '02 Elise 111s, everything is working fine, no warning lights on the dash or anything. The only thing is, when I switch off the ignition, I hear three beeps.

I have checked the hand book and found nothing, does anyone have any ideas?

the pioneer head units bleep 3 times when you turn the ignition off to remind you to tell you to take the faceplate off the stereo and take it with you for security.

Not just Pioneer, my Sony one does this too.

quite a good idea i think. although its a novelty at first then i got bored of taking the stereo out.
