A good light-medium red would go well - Pinot Noir, Syrah/Shiraz*, Beaujolais (I know unfashionable but a good one will be fine), Fleurie. Or a characterful white like a chablis.
- Try a Shiraz-Viognier - some very good ones from the southern hemisphere!
