Off to get my baby back after a she recieved some tlc and a new clutch plate after the cannonball3000....

cannot wait

everytime I have a break from driving her I get butterflies on my way to pick her up......

It's great that you still feel like that

I must admit, even after 3 years of ownership, taking the 308 out can lighten the heaviest of moods, and bring a grin to my face ..... some cars are just like that.

I feel good every time I take my girl for a spin and just delight in the responsiveness and general engineering a 30 yo can have compared to the new numb-mobiles they create for the masses today.

I just drove my car 5.5k kms and apart from picking up a bad load of fuel which blocked the carby jets (took 3 hours to clean and tune) ran like a Swiss clock and absolutely amazed me with it's distance shrinking abilities.

I am a bit like you Basher in that I always feel a little excited about getting back in the car after being separated from my baby

Now the only question I have is, is it the car or the person that creates that feeling ?

I suspect the car which is why they are so passionately loved by their owners
