The Day started well. Got a new insurance quote on my 848. Down from £850 to under £400, what a result!
Decided to go for a blast to celebrate, my first in probably two Months. Just been busy with work and stuff. Anyway, all waxed up and gleaming. The bike not me. Take it steady to start with, getting into a few bends. Not exactly knee down but countering well and leaning in.
Anyway the confidence builds and so does the pace. I get a bit too carried away and on a single carraigeway road, a little impatient and I move out to pull past 4/5 cars, mis judge the road a little and find myself playing a little game of chicken with a Range Rover.
Anyway, back over to the right side of the road safely without too much drama but got the old butterflies going. Not my finest hour and more annoyed with myself than anything else.
Anyway, feel free to call me a tool but now and again a little of the old inexperience shines through but I should have known better. Just as well the insurnace company didn't see it. They'd have tripled my premium not cut it in half!

PS - santa has come early. My brother and I have tickets to see ACDC in Amsterdam (June 09) and have decided to make a trip of it with the bikes. Should be fun!!
