well, how typical of the UK. This certainly isn't being shown in the rest of Europe as far as I know.

I assume the Queens speech is being shown in Iran?

Why does the UK strive so hard to establish itself as the embarrassment of Europe??

I wouldn't tar the whole of the UK with the Channel 4 'desperate attempt to be controversial brush'. I for one will be giving the broadcast all the attention I feel it deserves by not watching it.

I'm interested to hear what he says, his interview on C4 news a few months ago was bizarre with his manical grin!
I'm going to Iran later next year and received the Lonely Planet guide today, it sounds like a fabulous country I just hope things don't go tits up before then.

Ahmedinejad?

Free speech?

Something doesn't add up there scratchchinwink

Don't get me wrong, I'm not going all Daily Wail about it. I just see it as an attempt by Channel 4 to be unnecessarily controversial, and personally I don't feel the need to watch it. Other people will disagree, and if they choose to watch it then fair play to them!

I think it'll be interesting. C4 do an alternative christmas message every year, much more interesting than the queen! Think the Simpsons did it one year.

The wonderfull thing about television is that if you dont like it, you don't have to watch it.

The other great thing about this is that it shows there is still some freedom of speech left in the UK, enjoy it while it lasts. I don't care for Ahmadinejad in the slghtest, but im gratefull to live somewhere that allows all views to be represented (alhough i'll concede that in this pc era some views are more equal than others), even the objectionable ones.

The alternative is far more sinister than Ahmadinejads religion fuelled rantings.

His dislike of America was pretty obvious there and perhaps a request to the UK to not carry on the way we are.
Generally he was making wish for unity and peace.....

Thats my interpretation after lots of Martini!
