retrim your own car seats

hi all hope everyones have good xmas

am wanting to reupholster the seats in my car , prefably in black leather am after what others would think of how much the matireals would cost to do this ????

2 front seats , no door cards etc just the 2x front seats

I did this to a full interior including door cards, it was two tone and i needed 2 hides of each colour and i had plenty of one hide left which i had used for door cards and seat inserts. I would say you would need one full hide of black leather and possibly another half hide incase of any co_ck ups.

IIRC I Paid £60-£80 for a full hide and £35-£40 for a half, dont quote me on those prices tho it was 2 years ago. if you want the guys ebay name that I got them off them email me and i'll dig it out. he was the cheapest i copuld find and the leather was good quality and very large and just right for sewing not too thick
