Merry Christmas all!

Can any one help me with recommendations for a trustworthy bike rack for a Mini Coupe? It needs to be able to carry two adults mountain bikes (one girls frame). What are you using, how much, and where did you get it?

Thanks in advance.

The Halfords website says not to use these racks with a rear spoiler. Does this not apply to the small spoiler on the back of the Cooper?

Don't think you can use it with the cooper or GP spoiler but the S is fine.

Does anyone know how much the proper Mini one costs? Interested in this as it carries snowboards too but can't seem to find any prices :-S

Think its about £400 and you need to drill into the car body to fit it

Why would that be? What's the difference between the spoilers?

the GP spoiler is massive

The cooper spoiler is flat to the roof so it gets crushed by the straps

The cooper S has a gap under so the straps fit under the spoiler so are ok with that specific rack

I bought the same style of bike rack from Halfrauds for my R53 Cooper S, How did you attach the lower straps underneath the bumper?, obviously the bumper itself is not strong enough, I attached mine to some holes already in the chassis rails but as these are so close to both the silencers on the MCS it wasn't long before they melted through with almost disasterous results, Any idears anybody?

I also used the holes you talk of but have never had any problems. A friend who has the same system went back to the shop and purchased another set of the straps with the black plastic lumps and connected it around the bottom of the boot
