Gearbox...

Yo peeps,

I'm looking to purchase a gearbox for my '98 4.2 Cerbera, or I could get mine rebuilt. At the moment, it crunches slightly when accelerating from first to second.

Some advice would be much appreciated, i.e best place to go etc Or, if you have one in perfect working order- let me know

Not sure if all the T5's used in various Tiv's were the same(?), but not all T5's are equal!!

This site details the differences, and if that EBAY one can be identified, it might be best to ask about ID numbers?

That ebay box doesn't fit a Cerb, the one you want is the one on the gearbox man's site, with the stick at the furthest point .
Only going by what mine looked like when it was out, but think it's the same for all cerbs.

the gearboxman wil rebuild and refurb your box. ive spoke to him about doing mine as i have a crunch from 1st to 2nd at medium revs. off the top of my head im sure he said £380 for the rebuild and refurb the 2nd gear crunch. plus vat and delivery. I think thats pretty good. so mines coming off in 2 weeks and being courriered up to him on a pallet

Don't know if you have seen this, or if it's still available, from last months PPC mag.
