I think my engine is knackered and im considering options for replacement. I'd rather not go down the road of rebores / pistons etc due to expense.

Can the MPI Engine be fitted with the Metro / Dizzy and carbs?

Ive found this on Ebay and so was wondering if i could drop this engine and box straight back in to my 86 mini? Ive got a big valve head and weber carb to throw back on it too.

Cheers,

Mike

in short no.

there is no provision for the dizzy, you would need to either fit the mpi loom and ecu (can be done, but complicated and not really worth the effort), or fit an aftermarket ecu to control the spark, you can then run a dizzy.

again, quite a lot of hassle.
