Want to be a race marshal?
Find out what it's all about at Castle Combe's free marshals training day
Discussion
Not I, but GF used to do Brands (you will not see a smaller marshall!). I believe she had the pleasure of ordering Vicky Butler-Henderson around on a few occasions.
She often holds her head in her hands when she watches the marshalling at foreign GPs.
I was a bit miffed when I heard that Brands/Silverstone no longer do free food/drink of any kind for the boys/girls in orange. (Fair enough at the GP, where people queue up to marshall, but at clubbies?!?)

Before I raced I always thought of marshals as "spectators in orange overalls" however after a few seasons that opinion changed and after the the first experience of overseas racing they shot up in my opinion. The BRSCC trained marshals are possible the best I've ever seen and it's always worth remembering that without them there's no racing.
