Sorry, more Q's! Now S3 or S2?
Discussion
OK, Im really sorry to go on and on about buying an S but I have more Questions (going on and on about cars is what PH is all about though so I shouldn't be in any danger of breaking the PHlaw!)
Right, so then.
Imminent job change means the S3C is looking very unlikely as I now need a diesel to drive to work instead of a mountain bike (90 miles instead of 12 a day may kill me otherwise!)
So I have been looking at S2's instead as there appears to be a large price difference.
What I want to know is what will I essential miss out on?
I prefer the S3 dash but guess I'll have to put up for the money difference.
And as for the extra torque Im not too fussed as I intend to be chipping up ASAP.
So what do you all reckon? Go for the cheaper S2 or hang around for longer for an S3C?

No probs with questions
we've all been there
There is no torque difference between an S2 and an S3 the only car that has a slight increase is the S3C
IMHO if you can get in /out ok and your happy with the cosmetics and, most importantly THE CONDITION is Good then why not get the S2

Agree with Pies comments re S2/3/3c remember every car is different. Drive as many as you can I think you'll be supreised at the speed difference between a good one and a bad one. However do not confuse bettrer exhaust note with going faster
. I've a few posts before now a well driven V6 S is just as quick as any V8 Tiv, all bar +70mph on a dual carriageway.
Repeat after me; all Tivs are good, V6 Tivs are no lesser cars in the real world in the right hands than any V8.
Drive plenty, buy the best you can afford, not forgetting the slush fund for bad days, but the V6 S's seem to have less bad days anyway.

Indeed it was a late one. It is a LHD-version (Holland), so that proofs that it is late. Our markets are never served early by TVR.
I have understood (see also the bible) that most of the S2c's have been exported.
Cheers,
Peter.

Aha! so there is such a thing as an S2C then!
Must have been a very late one I guess.
