What are the going rates for these boxes?

Anything to look for?

I need to make an adaptor plate for it to bolt to an M117 box, is there a particular bellhousing which is commonly used on one offs or some pictures of the different types so I can get a close match?

Can you explain exactly what you want to do? Bolt it to the back of another trans? Picture of the Merc trans?
If that is what you want to do it wont work.If you want to bolt it to the back of an engine without the merc trans that will work...

Sorry I didn't make myself very clear.

The Merc gearbox (from a W126 S Class) has the gearbox casting and bellhousing as one piece.

I want to be able to use a complete powerglide gearbox on an M117 engine. It will be used for some drag racing but it will mainly be a silly weekend car.

It originally had a 5 speed transaxlle on it with a lightweight flywheel. I want to ditch all of that and start a fresh with a 2 speed powerglide going to a Ford 9".

I realise the gear ratios, torque converter need to be taken into account when I order the box but I need a way or starting the engine on the testbed and also mounting it, which is what the bellhousing will be used for.

Regards
