Tuscan S Coilpacks: Help please

Read a thread that suggests Citreon coilpacks are the same as spd6, does anybody know what model Citreon and does this apply to the Tuscan S aswell also after fitting is there any other procedures that have to be carried out prior to starting the engine.

I think the Tuscan coil pack is from a V6 Vauxhall (Senator?) but can´t remember which model.

Saw a thread "Graham Varley for the TVR Sagaris" that says Vauxhall Senator, just wondered if they were the same, as I also read somewhere else that the coilpacks come from a Citroen something.......

I thought all S6 engines used the same coil pack, but could be wrong.

Its new to me, but have found more info on Tamora forum which also suggests Vauxhall senator/carlton/omega. Bosch part: 0221503002. Will pull it out tomorow and check with local factors and update this thread.

I looked at getting one from the local motor factor but even with a trade discount it still worked out much cheaper to order one from Clever Trevor.

Just need 1 quick as I am itching to drive the car as I have another week of work and cant bare to see it sitting on drive waiting for postman. Had roof off yesterday for the first time and now I cant get enough of it. Like a kid with a new toy!!

I just bought a secondhand coil pack off ebay for £6, it looks identical but is from a vectra V6, I will be taking the airbox off to see if it is in the next few days hopefully.

I have a miss at 5.5k and a slight miss at idle when up to temp, mine also occasionly pops back into the air box when its cold.

I bought a diagnositc lead but mine does not have the 3 pin plug so will be making my own lead to plug directly into the ecu. As soon as i do this it will be getting the throttles adjusted, general service, tappets done and the afr's checked using my wideband, if im not happy with the afr's i will be remapping it also.

Diy lead works a treat, the only thing is that the pin layout on my car is differant than the threads on here. Had to use pin 3 as referance point and then 2 1 disregarding the colours that are shown on p/h thread
just took monitor from engine and also read manual to understand what I recorded, the only thing that looks a bit unusual is the adaptive values, at 1000 erpm engine temp around 60c the values are: Adaptive1 6.7 and Adaptive2 is -16.2 not sure if this is normal or not?
throttle pots are the same 15%
No faults stored
If coil pack is breaking down will I see that when engine is under load ie: Take log when driving along road whilst the engine is misfiring
Would there be an error code stored?

Seems there is some confusion when you ask a Vauxhall parts man for a Bosch coil pack 0221503002 and say its for a Senator/Omega/ Calibra as there is 3 differant types
From what I can gather as long as it has a square type connector at the bottom it will fit, or you can use the later type coilpack that has an oval type connector but you will have to buy an adaptor plate to mount to the side of the engine coz the 4 fixing bolts have a differant layout
Just for info: Saab 900 2.5l also uses the same pack as the Tuscan

Mine has a rectangular connector with 4 pins iirc. Will take a look later.

Plugs had only done 1000 miles, Fit new set of plugs, Problem solved

I think the coil pack works in pairs i.e fires on two cylinders at a time,one fires on the compression stroke the other fires on the exhaust stroke which is a redundant spark.So if the coil pack was breaking down,you would have a misfire on two cylinders at all engine rpm's and loads.
