Brisbane to Sydney

I am driving from Brisbane to Sydney for NYE and wanted to know, firstly if anyone had done this before and what the best route would be and secondly where to go with the camper in sydney and what to do as i haven't booked any restaurants and this has been done with short notice.

any tips/ideas appreciated.

There is only one route, Route 1, the Pacific Highway. Take your time it is a lovely drive with lots of nice stop overs on the way.

Not sure about where to take the camper but the list of nice restaurants is endless.

I lived in Balmain which has lots of nice restaurants and is only a couple of ferry stops from the city.

There is also a lovely Fish restaurant in Watson's bay (cant remember the name but there is only one there) have a few drinks and book a boat taxi to pick you up from the beach and take you back via the harbour!
