...oh well, pass the cashew nuts!

Wifie says I need to help a little more around the house – which is fair enough actually. So this morning I got up nice and early to have a damn good (post Christmas) tidy up and hoover. Anyway, the house is now spotless but now she’s moaning she can’t find anything! She keeps asking me where I put stuff and I’m damned if I can remember. Things came to a head when she asked once too often and I replied “why do you think my TVR needs synthetic engine oil?” To which she replied “I don’t know”, to which I replied “then why ask me questions I don’t know the answer to?”

As such, I’m now in the doghouse (well, my study!) and I can hear her banging cupboard doors shut in her relentless pursuit of all things pointless. She did find some unused wrapping paper in the ‘pots & pans’ cupboard – reckon I’ll be hearing about that for a while!

A job well done that man! Hopefully she will now think twice before ranting again.

My missus has one of those implants to keep us in jollies but out of nappies. A side effect of this is that the painters are always away. I was kind of hoping this would mean she'd be happy and rational all the time instead of every two weeks. Nothing ever seems to work as I expect...

Women? You can get them from all over. Cost depends on whether they've got lice or not.

IMHO your wife should be grateful for small mercies by now. My husband wouldn't even hoover let alone tidy up in the house.

You've done as well as you can, although your tidying up seems to have a "sweeping under the carpet" attitude to it.

I've been on the sofa the last four nights. Everything is 'my fault' and I cannot communicate, apparently. Death in her family hasn't helped - same thing happened last year when her other gran died. I'm best off out of the way and if it doesn't blow over, well these things happen.

You didn't (accidentally) run her gran over?

I usually hoover more than my other half.. I sort of like it... But washing and ironing are not chores I will risk.

I am sure when she stops to think about it, your OH will be "pleased" that you tried...

I have an idea!

Why not put HER on the sofa...see how long it takes for all to be well again so she can then re-access the bed! Problem solved! clap

No I'm not married...also well aware that with this level of non-compliance, I probably never will be either!laugh

Lol, exactly what my OH said once. We were arguing (for some reason) over the orientation of a house we were going to buy. She said it was north facing, I said it was west. She went on about it for about half an hour, so i dug out the laptop, google earth showed it was west facing. Her comment "You are right, but I don't think I'm wrong" Oh dear.

One of her tasks is tidying up and cleaning in my house. I go out and earn the money and keep her in clothes and provide the penis, and she is tasked to look after the place. For what ever reason if she has not tidied up then she has no recourse complaining if she cannot find anything. I just tell her its all packed away in a safe place and when it takes her an hour to find pair of shoes number 3,288 she knows not to let me tidy up again wink
