It's a fking goose!

Which is what we discovered after cooking the bird on Xmas day, arse.

Barely enough meat for two people and rather bland at that, to say my GF was furious is an understatement!

All the more disappointing as we got it from the local butcher who is generally very good but this was a major cock up, thankfully we didn't have any guests over.

A goose? Bland? Compared to turkey? Never!

It's far richer, has more flavour, retains more moisture and looks totally different.

...Said mongoloid of 2008, Jamie "spit fountain" Oliver. Adults were last fed Goose in the 60's, the last time it was posh, along side prawn cocktail and spotted Pferdestarke.

They do in a carrier bag..

We didn't pick the bird up until late Xmas Eve and by the time it was discovered was too late to do anything about.
