Don't think Halfords sell them at all? Not last time I checked, anyway.

They're H9 & H11 - it's stamped on the top of the headlight lens, visible when you open the bonnet.

Yo can use the same bulbs in dip as main beam which is an improvment (can't remember which way around it is but the dip has a black tip).

I tried Halfords own bulbs in my Omega but I was not very impressed and the quality seemed to vary from bulb to bulb.

I have Osram Nightbreakers in the Monaro, which I chose after seeing tests in which they have been the best performing halogen bulb that comes in the correct fitment for the Monaro dipped beam. The adjusters are cranked up a bit too, and there is a distinct improvement over standard.

I have nightbreakers on dip beam, I found main/high beam quite good as standard so left alone. powerbulbs sent me the uprated side lights, these are a nice white light and not the factory fit dull yellow type.

Don't bother with HOENS (was a recco from USA) extra wattage - something like 75Watts, nice bright white/blue light to look at but doesn't actually give out any light...However main beam HOENS are fantastic. might have to swap em over and report back...

Have got them in the past from

autobulbsdirect.co.uk

used the mains bulbs in the dip, and you get great light.

a little bit of work needed on the holders, but all covered on the past on this site. often give free gifts too; ie LED sidelights which look good too.
And sell single blade wipers which are more subtle and work better at speed. peugeot 306 set fits Monaro.

Ok I know they are not headlight bulbs, but its nice to know you can replace any bulb with an LED type if you want wink

Personal choice I'd have thought. My headlights spend more time on dipped beam than main, so a better dipped performance was priority. It was just inadequate originally. Main seems OK as it is, though adjusting the lights upwards no doubt helped there too.
