how hard can it be

i have been looking for a 156 for eight months now and just can't get on i like
i am after a red alfa 156 veloce 2.0 or 2.4 diesel with leather interior with the new front

you would thing there would be a lot of red ones but there isn't ,plenty of silver ones

i am thinking this is a lost cause

I know the feeling!
I was looking for a red 2.0 wagon with 'natural' leather. I thought I'd got lucky and made a 250 mile round trip to see one: a complete pile of poo with 50k more on the clock than advertised and no service record for those miles. The very next day I noticed a red saloon that looked absolutely mint outside a dealer just five miles away. It was a 1.8 and had the rubbery/textile seats and they'd just got it in. I went back a couple of days later after they'd prepped it and it looked superb. The service record checked out so I did a deal and ended up paying over £1k less than budget. When I bought my Elise I was after any colour but silver...........guess what colour car I bought

Facelifts themselves are rare enough, but the ones I do see all tend to be black or silver.

If you'd be interested in a 2.4 wagon (but in black), let me know though!

It's advertised as a Veloce 2, which should have leather (it's not easy to see in the photo's), don't like the interior colours much though to be honest.

I prefer the phase 2 cars, myself ie new interior original front end.

Does not sound too tough but the later cars are not as common. You need to watch e-bay.
