Well there I was just filling her up with some nice S/UL closed the boot paid for the fuel went back out to the car and the drivers door wouldn't open!! The window dropped down but the door didn’t open. So I got in through the passengers door. Then when I went to start her the thing went nuts! Wipers on, washers main beam, hazards everything just switched its self on! AAAGGHHH!!!!!!! Opened the drivers door again using the handle closed it, window went up and all was fine! Huh??? When I was home tried to get out and the same problem, now the boot will not open! HELP!!!!!

No, no, no; you've got it all wrong, my friend.

Simply light yourself a mild cigar, relax on the nearest supporting fixture and ponder our place in the universe.

Approximately half an hour will pass by which time it should be ready to play ball again.

It's called character, apparently and quite frankly, I miss it immensely.

Pictures of said beast are always spectacularly welcome...

Pictures of ensuing conflagration might amuse also...

UPDATE: Well I have been re-setting relays all afternoon and it’s still the same. The lights flash and the wipers go on with the washers too if any door is opened with the ignition on??? Once the doors are closed all is fine, apart from not being able to open the driver’s door or boot! I think I am looking at an alarm problem? Any ideas people???

The alarm may have confused itself a bit. Try disconnecting the battery for about half an hour and reconnecting - if it's a software gremlin it may just cure it - worth a try.....

Wow, how spooky is this?!

There I was sitting in TVR SLAG's house telling him
my car went nuts, get home and TVR SLAG's BiL is
having the same nightmare with TVR SLAG's car!

Did the 4 second reset work?
Mine has been fine since with a lot of use today.

Go create some weather...

Well tried the 4 second resetting thing, still the same. I have one found out that the boot will not open, and if I turn on the interior light it has a funny turn! Lights, wipers and all that! So I figure that the systems that go mad are all controlled by the steering wheel switches. So I wonder if there is a stray power supply getting into the systems some where and making all these circuits? Just an idea, will attack it again tomorrow.

I have to say though, with all these problems that the Cerbie's seem too have you still lov'em!

All sorted! After loads of messing about it turned out to be a fuse! 15A in the boot Fuse 7 i think. How one fuse could make the whole car go nuts!

Cheers for all the info fellow TVR nuts!
