yes My experience of the post Christmas sales is that the amount of money saved is never worth the hassle and aggravation. Women seem to love it, though.

There is nothing more satisfying than hitting the shops when there are MEGA sales on and if you want it bad enough you don't even realise that there is a que to wait in.

Patience is a vertue!!!!

Indeed. I just don't get it. Can saving a few quid on something if, indeed, the shop actually has it left in your size and it hasn't been kicked around on the floor by 3,000 people by the time you find it, really be worth so much time and hassle? Some people [women] use a very strange formula when valuing the hours of their life. Give me full price, quiet shop, instant item location, my size in stock, back home by 10:00am, tranquillity anytime!

Roll out all of last seasons crap that didn't sell with an imaginary saving so make you think it's cheap.

It's only a bargain if you actually need it.

I love term 'done well' when talking about sale shopping.

'oooh haven't you done well'

No you haven't. You've bought 12 pieces of tat that wouldn't have got second look if it didn't have a 30% off sticker across its Malaysian sweat shop out of shape in fashion neckline.

So you are in theory £500 down. That is not 'done well' in my books.

I bought one item of clothing, I had tried it on in the shop in November. I went on-line, it had £100 knocked off so I bought it in the size I knew was right.

Job done, coat that should last a very long time.

It is honestly not just buying ste, i guarantee most women you speak to will have got a pair of shows and really really nice New Years Top and trousers if not a dress, and if there are a few sizing issues there nothing a seemstress could not fix. I'v had plenty of clothes taken in because they are a couple of inches too big.

Shopping with women is hard work, of course, but I got some great deals on computer parts. It cost me $80 what would have cost me $300 normally. smile

Tell me about it. Went shopping with the gf today. 2 hours she spent in dorothy perkins choosing clothes for work. Took in 5 items. Then another half an hour in the changing rooms.

Im nearly asleep by the time she comes out. She handed every item to the member of staff and says she doesnt like any of it then goes to find a bag she spotted on the way in.

I was so bored another shopper asked me if i was a model/statue/plastic person that doesnt move. No joke.

Then i bought some shoes and a muffin.
