Got a bit of time to get em on the car.
wedged them in my suitcase in august, like you do.
these are roe cats, seem well made.
the header clamp looked like it was gonna be a pita,.....
..and it didnt let me down.
are these clamps the same as gen 1,2
i only managed to break the t headed bolt in half, not the clamp.
no way was that small nut gonna come loose without breaking.
will have to make up some sort of fastner.
you guys prob know all about this.
and yes Neil, now i wished id got some headers as well, now its apart.biggrin

cheers .

Chuck told me the stock ones were Hi Flow and that a change would only make more noise not ponies so I just fitted the Corsa Track ???

Getting the cross piece off is a real PIA as well took me most of the day with various saws grinders etc.

I saw these on roe racing site just after i had ordered some r tech cats from the viper store,so cancel that and get some with the flexy.

Paul,i like noise, also i had hoped for a reduction in heat(j clarkson burn my paint why dont you) biggrin
fortunatly my car had a corsa on it ,so didnt have to deal with the crossover pipe, not to mention the $$$$.

problem today was when installing the muffler back on.i had to slide
the corsa forward enough so the cat pipe was fully inside the clamp tube,
like you could see a gap where the split is on the muffler.
which has then made the tip out of line with the hole.
if the cat tube end was 1" longer it would have been ok.
plus the fact that this tube could be say 2" longer no prob cos it would just slide inside the muffler,if it were to long.

I did plan on trying to mod the tips so they stuck out a little more
so turns out i can fix both probs at the same time,i hope.
Cars........i love em.

Neil mate
The rear hanging bar which is welded to the muffler is like in a fixed position. So maybe shim out the rubber block that is bolted to the frame.
NO.
It maybe possible to bend the hanging bar on the muffler,to get a little outward direction??
i used some studding so i could pull the whole muffler outwards, this made the muffler to tight to the sill cover.
So only way to do it was to chop off the tip,and extend that bit of pipe.
When i do the drivers side i can take a few pics.
this way you can have the tips anywhere you want.
It is a fiddle cos of the hole in the cover, the new pipe and tip need to be tight enough that dont move when you check out the fit of the cover.
I managed to be able to get just a little movement when the cover was on.
tweeked it a bit, remove cover and tighten everything up.
The 1st pic looks like the tip only needs to come out about 1 1/4"
but i had to put a 3" extention in to get it where it`s at now.
although that might be cos the muffler had to go forward more due to the shorter cat pipe,so the extention ,extended the tip and kinnda the muffler too.
I like the slightly hotrod look.
cheers Dave

Clive, don`t know what your plans are now,but there yours if you need em.
had the 1st mot,and no probs.
The new cats seem to have made the car pickup better
and the sound is a lot louder biggrin
will have to check on the heat of the sills after the next blast.

Hi V10 BAT

The chrome exhaust surrounds-- Are they flat or shaped ? They fit on with 3M tape if I am correct and you bought them from the viperstore. The reason I ask is i have had my 99 viper exhausts put out the front of my side sills (just behind the front wheel). A 4 inch round whole has been cut on the flat panel for the 3 inch exhaust pipe to go through. I will also be adding chrome tips--did your tips come from the viper store? Do you think these will fit ?? Thanks

Hey James hope your good.
the surround is flat,i also put the chrome bead around the outside,
i got this from halfords.
please note the viperstore exhaust trim seen here ,is slightly oval, not round.
the tip is the corsa tip,all i did was chop it off then tack it back onto
the pipe extention.
you may be able to buy just the tips from corsa, they are the same as corvette ones, ill check it out.
Also you could have someone water jet cut/lazer the surround out of stainless to your shape and size.
cheers mate Dave
