best places to party in thailand

Hello peeps, hope all of you have had a good crimbo.

I'm off to thailand for the first time in feb for three weeks, i'm meeting up with a mate who is travelling around that part of the world at the moment. Unfortunately i will miss the full moon parties which sounds like it will be a bit of a shame. What i was wondering is what other beach parties are there that i should check out and what other places i should go to. There seems to be plenty of good advice on here about what islands to go to, but wheres the best places to dance like a loon?

Google for clubs and events in Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi etc that may be happening during your dates and see what appeals is the best bet.

the parties change from event to event.

As has been suggested, try looking for Full Moon Parties.

Also see if there are any Zouk Out events, not sure if they go up to Thailand but would be surprised if not.

Otherwise, big clubbing scene in Bangkok as well as the usual Bar hopping, sex tourist and "lost in asia" drinking holes!

Quite often the 4 and 5 star hotels will have nightclubs attached too.

Pattaya deffo for single blokes.
Islands like Koh Samui or Phi Phi are nice.Full moon is on Phi Phi I think.

Ive heard Chang Mai up north in the mountains is nice, cheap and plenty of girls.

I wasnt really keen on Bangkok itself, mind I have a house on the outskirts in a non tourist area.

FDon't worry if you can't make the actual Full Moon party on Koh Phangan. Just go to Haad Rin on any day of the month!

There's the Pre-full moon partying, then full moon party, then post full moon partying!

TBH this is not far from the truith ... most of these events are 100% for the tourist and tend to be ruined by them too. (hence my suggestion of the city center hotel night clubs which strangely tend to be frequented by (foreign and thai) locals )

Full moon party os on not on Phi Phi whoever said that! phi phi islands are def worth a visit though, very chilled out withs ome good beach bars etc.

if your looking to party Patong Beach in Phuket is easily my favourite place in thailand for nightlife!

for an interesting night, head to the patpong area in Bangkok also, as someone already mentioned, the Khao san road is legendary.

i'll be back in Thailand again in April for their new year festival, songkran. I love the place.

Reggae Pub on Chaweng Beach (I think) Koh Samui. Great open sided (open to the air) nightclub/pub. Pool tables upstairs and club downstairs.

Yeah, heard about that - quite popular I believe.

Not too sure what you really want ?? If you go to Pattaya then you can party, party, party, 7 days a week with what ever takes your fancy, but its pretty much the sex capital of the world so its sleaze city.

If you want beach type partying with music/drink/girls then Phuket/Krabi/Patong/Koh Samui, etc, will have all of that.
