Hi there and a merry Christmas to you all.
My fuel gauge doesn't work (reads zero), (Defender 90, 1991 200 TDi) and the fuel warning light is constantly on. I have changed the sender unit but this made no difference. Apparently there is a relay somewhere in the system which actuates the light and I was wondering if this is the problem.
Does anyone know where this is located (before I start fumbling behind the dashboard) and if this is the likely problem?
Also, I have just replaced the flasher unit (the indicators packed up!) and there are 5 relays and another 'box' next to the flasher unit - does anyone know what they all do (and in which order)?
Thanks for your assistance.

Chris.

Could be a short. I have a 300 tdi and sometimes when I turn left the guages dips in time with the flashes. getting at the back of the dash is easy. You'll need a multimeter to see what vlotage you are getting and then trace it back rather than replacing parts ad hoc.
