Star Wars fancy dress - warning!
Discussion
Hmm. What to get for an 80's night New Year's party. I know. Star Wars.....
It seems someone somewhere has finally done a licensing deal to reproduce Star Wars costumes. Excellent.
Can't afford the awesome looking £650 versions but thought that this would do the trick:

So I ordered one for NYE party and sent Mrs out to colelct yesterday getting excited at the prospect of trying it all on when I got home.
What an absolute crock of s
te this turned out to be. Absolutely nothing like the picture I took as my reference.
I will therefore be returning the item to the shop in Camden and shouting at people later on.
Be warned

It does say hard crushable material but I took that to be slightly harder that it actually is. Which is softer than an eggbox with a rubbish black jumpsuit which doesn't even have a zip at the back with all the armour pieces just stuck on! Complete rubbish.
No pics I'm afraid. Too annoyed.
Where's a spare £650 when you need it!

I've been caught out the same way, very cheap tacky crap.
Best bet for fancy dress is to use your imagination a bit (and get some ideas from the Internet) and make your own!
Obviously Storm Trooper is a bit elaborate, but a day of Army Surplus, Fancy Dress Shop, B&Q, etc got me all the bits to make this

I ordered some masks from that site for Halloween like 2 weeks in advance (the Joker’s henchmen masks from Dark Knight). They then told me 2 days before Halloween that I won’t be getting them due to being out of stock! They also took 2-3 weeks to send my money back to me. Absolute b

ds.I went to a fancy dress party in my ice hockey gear. This was a really stupid idea. Normally it's ok, as the one outstanding property of ice is that it's cold. Wearing full gear in a nicely heated house leaves you sweating like a rapist for the whole evening whilst trying to pretend you're perfectly comfortable.
I won't be doing that again.
