Sports cars - good investment!
A sports car is a good investment

I wonder how the Boxster came out top...percentage wise maybe it does have the highest residual value...but since it costs a fortune to buy in the first place even a smaller percentage drop can equal a whole pile of money! More than the cheaper cars may have lost...
Still. If you worry too much about residuals you probably shouldn't have bought one in the first place.

Ha !!! in 4 years, and 5 bikes, I have lost about 12K in depreciation, possibly a lot more. Agree with you about the fun factor.

Neighbour of mine who insists on the TVR/Porsche argument every time we meet has told me that his dealership offered him 3k less than the purchase price of his boxter 3 years after he bought it, if he part-ex's for a 911..
Not a bad one there.. I have lost maybe 7k in 3 years on my Chimaera
During 10 years of ownership of my 240Z it cost me maybe £30K. Depreciation was about 85% of the cost of the car (£10K), the rest was engines, gearboxes etc. With £30K what could I have bought and had the same fun? Not much really, the money is not important, its the enjoyment that counts.
