Dessert Red Wine
Discussion
At a friend's recently I was offered a glass of dessert wine. Except it wasn't the white I ws expecting, it was the sweetest red I've ever tasted
and perfectly matched the dessert.
I only caught a glimpse of the label and TBH it looked suspiciously like Jacob's Creek.
Any ideas anyone?

Jacobs Creek do indeed make sweet reds. With the right food it can work, such as chocalate but depends on what dish the chocolate ends up as.

Limited quality, and limited appeal - Hence not much about.
They also make a sparkling sweet red, but the best flavour match for that is domestos.....
Stick to white and if you need a match for Sauternes, go no further than Fois Gras

How about a Ice Wine from Niagra? Can thoroughly recommend the Peller Cabernet Franc as a red dessert wine, and the Vidal and Oak Aged are excellent whites!

Enjoyed a bottle of the Cabernet Franc with Boxing Day pudding.

If having a dessert wine I tend to go for Elysium, a Black Muscat.

And less than £6 a bottle at Costco.....
