When Moles Attack ! How do you get rid of them..?

I have a huge problem with Moles. The little furry buggers have decimated the lawn and now is the time to draw the line and reclaim the garden !

I need a strategy and I need some kit. If removing the moles involves buying cool gear then all the better. Anything involving engines would be fantastic, although I doubt this is likely.

Above all, I need some experienced and sage advice from those in the know.

It's time to stop The Invasion Of The Moles. This time its war.

For goodness sake man, if they're willing to come up and pose for pictures just make them tea and cake and ask them nicely to leave and inhabit a neighbours garden.

Alternatively obtain a copy of Jasper Carrot's "You've got a mole" sketch which should tell you all you need to know.

We have regular mole attacks and there's a local chap who comes and traps them. I reckon we go about 6 months without them once they've been sliced and diced. Mole budget is running at about £150 a year I reckon.

In terms of a DIY solution, a deckchair, beer and decent air rifle can be good - it require patience. Setting traps does involve a bit of specialised knowledge, using gloves so the traps don't smell of you, that sort of thing.

Poison can't easily be bought....

Rags soaked in Creosote down the hole is said to be effective - although the moles can easily set up camp elsewhere on the lawn.

Dad just uses a couple of mole traps and they're normally caught in a couple of days.
