rover 827 gearbox help

hi guys, first time here, been reading the allegro project and i was just wondering if there's anyone here who can help me..

ok my project.. mid engined metro 6r4 replica
what i need some help on is the lsd diff for a 827 gearbox ..
i can buy a new atb unit @ £500 .. but is there a cheaper option..
i've been told the pg1 (800 turbo) box wont fit and is too week..
but im sure i've seen somewhere an 827 engine mated to a audi/vw gearbox

can any help ????

You think £500 for a brand new diff is too expensive ? lol


I know someone putting around 800bhp through a diesel PG1 box, and it worked ok.

yes, it did have problems, but all things considered, it worked well.
