How about:

21. Pick up a nasy cast of the winter vomiting bug.

You'll shed a fair bit of weight that week, although it may get a bit messy.

ETA: I feel your pain, I'm going on a healthy eating and exercise regime this year!

+1, it's that easy. Also drink less alcohol. Use smaller plates. No second helpings. No snacks between meals. Less fat/dairy/fried food, more vegetables, salad & vegetables.

But what do I know? 1 stone heavier than a year ago... I will bookmark this thread! biggrin

  1. Get hypnotised
how does this work? it might be ok if every female within a 5 mile radius was hypnotised into thinking i didn't have a beer gut and 3 chins, but apart from that i can't see it working.

There must be 20 threads going on about the same thing!

Eat 5 or 6 meals a day. Do about 30-60 mins of something (walking, running, bicycling, f***ing, etc.). Cut out alcohol, bread/pasta/etc., sweets, junk food. Eat lean means (turkey, chicken, tuna, etc.) with green veggies with every meal, plus a few nuts (almonds, walnuts, etc.)

Drink a lot of water.

Do this and I guarantee you will lose weight. But doing it is hard enough! I've been trying the last month to restart and now I'm in the flow of things, but it's still boring to eat the same things over and over again, but better than a gut!

Good luck!

Drink black coffee. It raises your metabolism and heart rate so you burn more calories doing fk all.

Also, try the ECA stack (ephedrine, caffeine & asprin). Make sure you cycle it so your body doesn't get 'used' to it. You will have a ton of energy but you will lose muscle mass as well as fat so make sure you eat plenty of high protein (but low fat) foods as well.

You can get hold of ephedrine from Canada I think. It's illegal to buy over here but IIRC it's legal to own and use.

Week on, week off seems to work pretty well.

I'm yet to try it out. I'm more intrigued than anything. What dosage do you take and what ratio? Does it work out expensive? I've heard good things.

Not sure on the mg of each, but I take one 45 mins before I go training. £20 would get me a small non descript pot of them, but of course I do not pay for them as that would be naughty.

Labour have launched a campaign today to stop obesity. I dare say it will end up as a "fat tax" where we all have to weigh-in once a year.

Actually, that's not a bad idea!

Meanwhile LA - shout DOWN & GIVE ME TEN, FATTY hehe

Park in the spot furthest away...go for a walk at lunchtime (2 or 3 miles is easy in an hour) etc etc. You don't need to change your diet or got to the gym or any of that bks.

currently a bit over 16 stone and a bit over 30 on the BMI scale, so need to lose weight...

been sitting around for most of December on doctor's orders, so no gym and swimming is banned for another 2 months as are baths frown

going to phone the gym up and see when they close, the other day got there within 5 mins of them closing frown

not buying any more packs of beers or ciders, sticking to wine and having 1-2 bottles per week

always have a good cereal based breakfast with black coffee, small lunch = bigger evening meal and vice versa

When choosing food, see how much fat each one contains and remember (with alarm) that the RDA for fat is 85g. Avoid cheese and chocoloate. Replace biscuits and chocolate with fruit or yoghurt.

Plus, eat smaller portions.

My theory is - why eat loads of buns then run 100 miles to work them off? Just don't eat the buns!
