PS3... might have a problem

Anyone else had this ? I turned my system on yesterday and a message came up saying harddrive is coorupted and must be corrected... i clicked ok which lead to a install screen. Once that got to 100% it rebooted and a new message saying the harddrive had to be reinstalled, clicked ok and then anouther install screen, took about 5 min to get to 100% and then rebooted itself. Was expecting the playstaation to be blank but everything is still there i think....

Then whilst playing fallout 3 the system suddenly rebooted itself, it has never done that before. Is my PS3 about to die or is this a fairly common thing and nothing to worry about ?
