Just reading some horror stories about swirl flaps on bmw diesel engines

Does my car have them?

I don't think so, I've got a 2000 320d and that doesn't, my dad has a 330d and I don't think that does either. I think from what I've read it's about mid 2001 to 2004? diesels that have the problem, but I'm not sure.
