Following on from the successful Dorset Dawdles series, I propose a Warwickshire Wander on the 31st January 2009. This will be an 80 mile or so round trip in North Warwickshire, Staffordshire and Leicestershire. The start will be at 10 am with lunch at about 12-ish. There will be a stop in the morning and another one post lunch for everyone to socialise and talk Bo****ks in a car park. I have a proposed route but this needs to be driven and fine tuned. Anyone wish to join me for a run out ?

60 miles away from casa del Polarbert.

A bit far for this methinks.

Would love to but for two issues -

1. Chances of surviving the fallout after suggesting to the OH I take time out to go for a drive instead of pandering to her is approximately zero.

2. My chariot is really not in the same league as anyone with a real car frown

Start is close to Atherstone - so about 40 miles for Polarbert ! Then head in a circuit to finish close to where we started.

This is a run out to be sociable and have a bit of fun. Most of the run is down smaller roads so no problem with bringing anything you like (although I hope to have the Tuscan back by then !)

Not too far for me, Atherstone.

If I can snaffle the MX-5 from the steering committee, I'm interested...

Bob
What sort of pace are you expecting? i.e. should I bring Frogeye or ZT?
Cheers

Pace depends on what you are used to ! If the tuscan is not back then the Mighty Swift will be on the ragged edge, otherwise it will be a relaxed run out giving consideration for the roads, weather and other road users - see comments on the Dorset runs for indication. I will post the route after a further proving run as yesterdays meant I have to make a couple of changes. I have identifieid a lunch stop though.

Phil - not heading much further south so will mean you heading north.

I might be interested, it's not a million miles from Redditch.... car will depend on the weather tho' - the Ariel's back tyres are getting very worn, so it could be an ST run.

Just done a proving run of the route and it still needs a little tweak which I should be able to do on Tuesday.

I have agreed to work that Saturday to cover for absence, so I won't be able to come. Have a nice run.
