Good to see we made it in the AOL top 20 wedges gallery. Was going to send a nasty email if it wasn't there.

Eh?

Quote "The high point of the wedge era was the limited edition 390SE which could out-drag a Porsche Turbo."

Yes, this has been on before....no mention of SEACs...usual ignorant so and so's. rolleyes

We have google these days so there is no excuse even for a total ignoramus.

Oh, and while I'm having a moan....so much for the much-publicised Wedge article in current PPC magazine (about S. Heath's Purple Wedge Racer).

I quote: " - a TVR with Rover V8, usually pushing out 150bhp on a cold day".... (compared to Steve's).

What utter crap.

These guys should stick to what they evidently are better suited to....DELIVERING magazines. mad

To be honest, half of the magazine seems to be taken up by them putting down various cars, as is the fashion now, and some of the spelling is atrocious. At £4.40 a throw they can afford to employ a proof-reader.

I have to agree, Graham, they do spout a lot of crap sometimes . I was forced into writing a mail to them a couple o years ago in defence of Wedges (although to be fair I did get the star letter) but you're right about the sometimes blind prejudice in the mag . they once quoted a marcos as the thinking man's TVR! Christ! a friend of mine had an '85 Mantula, and whilst it was a lovely looking car, the chassis looked like it'd been knocked up in a private garage compared to the wedge's cross-braced loveliness... but at least they don't concentrate on million pound Ferrari's & other overpriced exotica...
