24v and they go up and down a treat!

Seriously though, try soaking the window runners with silicone spray grease, and cleaning the wiring contact block in each door.

I use my hand to slide the window up. Works every time! Come on, there's more important things than electric windows to worry about on a wedge.

am totally obsessed now I have started it, can I get tablets to put a stop to this condition, before I replace everything?

Mine have always been slow as well. I'd overhaul the motors except they are potted in resin to keep the rain out.
You could try rewiring them with thicker wire. All the way back to the fuse box... yikes

When you get the tablets don't forget to soak them then spray with silicone, they'll go down easily but I'm not sure whether they'll come back up....

Yes spraying silicone spray down the runners can help a lot.

Why not replace the motors - only about £24 each including arms to attach to the window - you can get them from Rimmer Bros - they are off an SD1.
I did mine and they fly up and down now

Hy all

The runners are proberly worn out and the glass on on the rubber and not the felt, you should be looking to replace the rubbers or you could use pledge polish on the runners, works a treat and cleans off the glass rather well
If any one knows of a place that sells the rubbers I would be interested

I got some replacement felt for the Racer when I rebuild the window frames, I think It was from frosts. Will double check tonight.

I got replacement channel from seals direct. They have a selection of sizes
www.sealsdirect.co.uk

If the following link works it leads you to the page which includes window channel flocked rubber
http://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/bbCMS/shopping.asp?in...

They were happy, and very prompt, to send sample pieces of some other rubber strips I was seeking
