Mondeo clutch problems
Discussion
Hi
I've got a 2001 (mk3) v6 mondeo with just under 100k on the clock, recently i've noticed that the cluch pedel has become very light, am in right in saying it's an hydraulic clutch, could the problem be air in the system? i presume the fluid reservoir is shared with the brakes, if so i've not noticed any deterioration in braking performance.
Has anyone got any ideas
Cheers

The clutch is hydraulic, and air could be in the system. It needs to be leak tested, fixed if necessary and bled. The feed for the clutch is well above the level needed to operate the brakes so that is why you would see no braking problems for the symptoms you describe.I've got a 2001 (mk3) v6 mondeo with just under 100k on the clock, recently i've noticed that the cluch pedel has become very light, am in right in saying it's an hydraulic clutch, could the problem be air in the system? i presume the fluid reservoir is shared with the brakes, if so i've not noticed any deterioration in braking performance.
