Outstanding warrantee work - help!
Discussion
Guys-Girls, It looks like Greens has gone under reading other threads and I have outstanding warrantee work on my 500(rear wheel bearing)(warped AP front disc) Does anyone know what route I take now considering that Greens 'started' the job. Started as in ordered the parts for the bearing job! As far as I know they have done (did) nothing about the ongoing issue with AP and the discs.
If I drop this one it will cost me a bomb! Grant

Any garage should be able to sort your bearing. The AP's are not a Vauxhall issue as they were not fitted by Vauxhall. It may be worth talking to another AP agent re advice on the disc issue. If it needs replacing it is £200 max from memory.
Didn't the VXR500 have AP's fitted as sold? And their warranties were covered fully by VX/Wortec? Then, surely, the AP's should be covered by VX.
500's had a supercharger that had a 3 year concurrent warranty with Vauxhall via Greens. Any additional performance products carry the warranty specifically associated with that component, not necessarily 3 years. The quickest solution, if Greens has gone, is for M500 to speak to another AP agent or to buy a replacement disc. Sorry.
Seems too much movement to be just 'high spotting' Under harder braking 'Monkfish' (over 60 MPH)the lurch right and left has my head doing the hoky-coky. I suppose it could be that one side is shot and the other is running true accentuating the lurch. I will whip the wheel off and run a DTI over it to get the true run-out.
Hi AJ
Think this says it (High Spotted).
This condition indicates that the disc has been subjected to extremely high temperatures caused by an improperly balanced braking system, a dragging brake or continued severe brake applications. These extremely high temperatures cause structural changes to occur in the disc material which makes it more susceptible to cracking.
To correct this problem the disc should be resurfaced to restore concentricity by removing the hard raised areas. If resurfacing takes the thickness below the recommended limit the disc must be replaced.

You'd be surprised. Mine "lurched" terribly. got some new friction pads on and a few miles later end of problem. That was 30k miles ago.....

Has the brake disk actually had a clock gauge attached and proven to be warped?
They dont warp, it will be high spotted or corrosion.
Roger, My car (VZ CV8 with VXR brakes) suffers from a shudder under braking. VX dealers (Greens and Motorbodies) have both now said " yep, brakes are warped and need to be replaced, and it ain't warranty - wear 'n' tear". Greens said they would replace like for like @2k gbp, Motorbodies original CV8 brakes @1.4K. Both were told 'nyet'. If I was to bring my car to you, what would you suggest could be done to correct the prob?

Through the steering i assume? You could try skimming the discs. We can get that done but i cant give any guarantees that it will work. Sometimes it does, sometimes not, depends on the underlying cause. Otherwise, its a new pair of discs and pads. We would be a lot less than half that price!
