Hi chaps,

Tried a search on the site and no joy. Wondered where you get hold of them for the Ultima? Having had the car out over Christmas, driving into the sun is a really tricky at times. I've seen plenty of cars out there with strips fitted (some also on the doors) so am hoping you'll be able to point me in the right direction...

Cheers,

Mike

I recently had a shop custom fit a front screen tint to the GTR. I am well pleased with the change in visability when faced with a low sun. I wanted this same film put on the doors for the same reason. The fellow doing the job was worried that the film might not work long term on the plastic on the sides vs the glass in front. Do any of you have any experince with thgis issue. Thanks, Lee

Thanks all,

Just emailed Richard and he uses the same stuff (fablon) in the decal packs.

Fablon is the thin plastic material used for making windscreen sunstrips (subject of thread). B & Q is a chain of DIY superstores in the UK. "You can do it if you B & Q it!" etc etc...

Just had a Google on the US site and found nothing that would help explain.

Fablon is a Trade name for an adhesive backed plastic film. We obviously use a black version but it comes in many colours and patterns. It is also available clear (I used to use it to cover school books).

Where you may have seen it would be as an opaque patterned film applied to bathroom windows for privacy.

Let us know if this suddenly makes sense and you can tell us the US equivalent trade name for Fablon.
