M400 Side pods

Can the M400 side pods be bought from anywhere does anyone know?

From the factory via a parts dealer.. The meshes (if required) will need to be ordered separately. Remember there is quite a lot of cutting to the original bodywork to fit them properly..

...and also remember that if you copy the M400 grills etc all they do is produce drag. They don't produce any more cooling than the standard setup.

... wot he said hence bling effect only! Plus, AFAIR, pods make car wider so more easy to make contact with width restrictor posts or narrow gaps than standard motor too.

bought mine from kerridges.were cheaper than buying from the factory for some unknown reason

if you look at the windtunnel vid - you can see they do work

however is suspect the arch behind them has been cut out to allow airflow

anybody know what needs to be done to make them work ?

No. There's no evidence that they work any better than the standard 3R setup and probably just produce drag. It's not for me to say about the mods that were made to let air into the car this way.

It's not the sidepods that are working, it is that the air is able to easily exit the car, therefore the engine bay isnt pressurised. The arch hasnt been cut but there are louvers in the wheel arches which allow the air to exit from the louvers in the clam once it has been through the coolers. The slits in the back of the car/arch are to help keep the pressure as low as possible and reduce drag.
