1300 miles in a week....In an S3........
Discussion
Just got back to work having spent the last 7 days on a driving holiday in Deepest Wales.
[TEMPT FATE ON]
Who says TVR's are unreliable......
[TEMPT FATE OFF]
What a great time and probably some of the best roads I've ever driven.(Roof Off)
We stayed in Mid-Wales @ lovely farmhouse B&B. The ELAN Valley over to Aberysthwyth, lakes, mountains and a bloody lot of sheep.
A trip up to Snowdonia again superb roads, lakes, mountains and a bloody lot of sheep.
After hearing all the horror stories on here about reliability - I took this holiday with a large amount of trepidation. Lots of wood touching.....
NO NEED The car performed brilliantly..!!!
We covered a total of 1282 miles spent £155 on fuel.. so average 25mpg over the whole trip...
The surface quality of the roads however need something to be desired....I think I will spend this weekend tightening up just about every piece of trim to stop all the rattles.....
The weather was clear every day, so I consider myself Very Lucky.
I would recommend this trip to anyone for all of the reasons above....
I really learnt a lot about the car...what pleasure can be had and how the 'S' can help you out in a crisis.
I took a corner a bit 'hot' BUT the car just glided round back end pulling straight when I hit the loud pedal, the cheeks were firmly clasped as there was 150ft drop to my right....
Using 1/5th of my mileage allowance in a week was probably a bit extreme....
Bring on Le Mans next year......
